RAS 2026 Key Highlights at a Glance

RAS Prelims Exam Date  06 December 2026. 
Negative Marking  1/3 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
Mains Minimum Qualifying Marks  Candidates appearing for the Mains examination need to secure at least 10% marks in each paper and 15% aggregate marks, as prescribed in the examination rules.

Eligibility Criteria for RAS Exam 2026

Before applying for the RPSC RAS 2026 examination, candidates should carefully check the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Major requirements: 

1.Nationality 

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India 
  • Candidates from states other than Rajasthan may also be eligible to apply, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification. 

2. Age Limit 

  • For most candidates, the prescribed age limit is generally 21 to 40 years for the relevant State and Subordinate Service posts.  
  • Candidates from OBC are typically provided a concession of 3 years, and candidates from SC/ST can be provided a concession of 5 years.

3. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. 
  • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree may also be permitted to apply, subject to fulfilling the prescribed qualification requirements within the specified time. 

4. Physical Standards for Specific Posts 

  • Certain services, particularly police-related posts such as the Rajasthan Police Service (RPS), may have additional physical or medical requirements. 

5. Domicile and Rajasthan-Specific Conditions 

  • Rajasthan domicile is not necessarily required to appear for the RAS examination, and candidates from other states may also apply if they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions.

RPSC RAS 2026 Selection Process

1. RAS Prelims 2026  

The RPSC RAS Prelims is the first stage of the RAS recruitment process and is primarily used for shortlisting candidates for the Mains examination

2. RAS Mains 2026
